A charming video appearing to show a dog gently rocking a sleeping baby in a bouncer is enchanting the internet with its simple magic.
Any new parent will tell you sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference. That certainly appears to be the case with this video.
Footage of Bowser the dog putting in a shift to help keep his owner's young tot asleep first hit the big time after being shared to Twitter and Instagram by WeRateDogs. It can be viewed here.
This is Bowser. He’s the designated baby bouncer for today. Doesn’t mind the responsibility because he’s quite good at it. 14/10 pic.twitter.com/olrsmdUhCb

The video actually originated from the Instagram account The Juke Pack, which chronicles the adventures of a gang of six Huskies and Malamutes living out in Minnesota.
The video of Bowser was shared to the account on Wednesday where it garnered a positive reaction with one fan declaring: "This is the cutest thing I have ever seen!"
There will no doubt be plenty of skeptics out there ready to claim that Bowser is not actually the one rocking the baby's bouncer in the video—there could feasibly be a human foot, just off-screen, geeing things along.
But even if the pet pooch isn't providing the necessary muscle, the simple sight of this cute canine snuggled close to his human family's latest addition is enough to tug at the heartstrings.
There's also no concrete proof Bowser isn't the one putting in the work either, so it's worth suspending any disbelief.
In any case, it would appear that plenty of dog lovers have done exactly that, with the clip garnering over 1 million views via WeRateDogs on Twitter.
If the comments are anything to go by, it would appear there are plenty of exhausted new parents out there who would appreciate the services of this caring canine.
"Is Bowser available? I need a nap," Tim Snell commented, while Daivgrl wrote: "Bowser, help! My little one is going through a sleep regression! I neeeeeeeed yooooouuu!"
For others, the sight of a dozing dog and sleeping baby together was a simple joy to behold. "This is the most beautiful thing I have seen in some time," James Huntington wrote. Gary Howard agreed: "That's amazing!"
Elsewhere there was a general sense of appreciation for Bowser's efforts. "Never works a day in his life because he loves his job," Wakeley Pups wrote. "Definition of a mutually beneficial relationship," Mallorydotcom added.
Above all else, however, there was a sense of mutual appreciation for dogs. "The most wonderful creatures in the world," Ovid Priffer said, with J. T. Frederick declaring: "We really don't deserve the love dogs give us."
Newsweek has contacted the Juke Pack for comment.
The arrival of a new baby in the house can prove just as challenging a time for the family dog as it is for the family themselves.
According to the Kennel Club, the mantra for any canine owner eager to make the transition as smooth as possible is: "Include, don't exclude."
"Reward your dog for approaching the baby calmly and gently," they recommend. "Don't shout at him for getting it wrong or for trying to get your attention. Gently show your dog the right way to behave."
Small children have been proven to share a unique bond with dogs.
In December 2021, an abandoned newborn was found cuddling a litter of puppies in an Indian field. Elsewhere, footage of a 14-month-old toddler's reaction to meeting their dog for the first time left the internet captivated and is well worth revisiting.
