Bad Bunny has reached a new peak in his career, scoring his first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 just days after headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
His Spanish-language single “DtMF” surged to the top of the chart dated February 21, 2026, becoming his second Hot 100 leader overall and his first without any billed collaborators.
The Puerto Rican superstar previously topped the all-genre chart in 2018 as a featured artist on Cardi B’s “I Like It” alongside J Balvin.

According to Billboard, “DtMF” jumped from No. 10 to No. 1 following the February 8 halftime performance, fueled by 43 million official U.S. streams, a figure up 85 percent week over week.
The track also drew 5.3 million in radio airplay audience impressions—up 56 percent—and sold 12,000 copies, a 262 percent increase.
The song’s ascent marks a historic achievement. “DtMF” is only the fourth all- or mostly-Spanish-language song to reach No. 1 in the Hot 100’s history and the first by a solo act without other billed artists.
It also leads four Bad Bunny songs simultaneously in the top 10 with “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” rising to No. 2, “Nuevayol” climbing to No. 5 and “Tití Me Preguntó” reentering at No. 7.
A Purple Patch
The chart milestone caps a stretch of high-profile wins for the artist. Earlier this month, he became the first musician to win a Grammy Award for Album of the Year with a project sung entirely in Spanish for "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS."
His Super Bowl booking had sparked political commentary in the weeks leading up to the game.
When announcing the halftime news on Saturday Night Live, Bad Bunny told the audience in Spanis, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn,” as reported by Newsweek.
Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez defended the choice, telling the outlet, “Bad Bunny has had a stellar career and a stellar year.
"Roc Nation is committed to bringing nothing less than the best of the best to the world’s biggest stage, working with artists who are at the highest level of excellence. Bad Bunny is the best of the best.”
'Best three weeks'
Online, fans framed the moment as the culmination of an extraordinary run.
One Reddit user wrote in response to the chart news, “Gotta be some of the best three weeks you can have as an artist, right? Winning Album of the Year, doing the Super Bowl Halftime Show (and doing great at it) and getting your first solo No. 1.”
Another quipped, “Bad Bunny made Brazil listen to reggaeton, that is a huge task.”
A third commented, “Seeing how strong he was throughout ALL of 2025, makes sense, bro was on a legacy run all over the world, selling out stadiums, having a massive album, AND all the buzz he got from the Super Bowl, like he was on it for 2025.”
With five songs currently charting on the Hot 100 and a Super Bowl performance that introduced him to one of television’s largest global audiences, Bad Bunny’s latest No. 1 signals not just a personal milestone but a broader moment for Spanish-language music at the center of American pop culture.
