Valerie Bertinelli has split from her boyfriend Mike Goodnough after 10 months together.
A source confirmed the update to People, sharing, "They are no longer in a relationship." The news comes after Bertinelli, 64, had opened up to the publication about maintaining a long distance relationship, as she lives in Los Angeles, while Goodnough lives on the East Coast.
The couple instituted a "three-week rule" to try to maintain the romance amid their distance. "We never go longer than that without seeing each other," Bertinelli explained. "After all, it's about finding the joy in life and sharing it."

Bertinelli first went public with Goodnough, who is 10 years her junior, on April 3, when she arrived with him for a taping of The Drew Barrymore Show, where she was promoting her new cookbook, Indulge.
Goodnough, 54, confirmed their relationship on his Substack — called Hoarse Whisperings — writing, "I am Valerie Bertinelli's boyfriend... and that may well be among the most surreal sentences I've ever pecked out. But it's true... and nothing about our actual relationship seems surreal. It just seems... good... lucky... a gift."
The Hot in Cleveland star detailed meeting Goodnough after he commented on one of her Instagram posts in an interview with People that same month. "It was strictly platonic, but there was something about him that I connected with that felt familiar. A comfort level. He felt like a kindred spirit," she told the publication.
After speaking on the phone in January, Bertinelli realized there was much more than friendship there. She complimented his voice, which she described as having a "beautiful timbre," and said the two clearly had a connection, despite not being ready to admit it. They went on to make their red carpet debut at the Daytime Emmys in June — something Goodnough also documented on his Substack.
Prior to their relationship, Bertinelli was married to financial planner Tom Vitale from 2011 until 2022, a relationship she has since called "toxic." She has described the day her divorce from him was finalized as the "second best day of my life."
She was also married to Van Halen frontman Eddie Van Halen — with whom she shared son Wolfgang Van Halen, 33 — from 1981 until 2007, when he died due to lung cancer.
