Great Dane Has Adorable Reaction to Being Ignored by Owner

When a dog owner decided to ignore her Great Dane in a TikTok video, the pet's reaction was so sweet that it has melted hearts online.

The footage, which was shared to the app by Olympus Great Danes, shows a dog named Apollo sat on the sofa next to a woman.

An automated voice over the video then says: "Sitting beside my Great Dane and ignoring him."

The woman then turns away from the dog, and the animal looks surprised.

The voice, speaking from the dog's perspective, then says: "Do you see this c**p. Well then..."

The large pet then bows his head, clearly saddened by the situation.

Apollo then changes tack and decides to sidle up to his owner, who is still looking the other way, and nuzzles his nose into her body.

The voice the says: "Well, then... good to know I'm loved. I know your arms aren't broken you've been texting all day."

Apollo then proceeds to paw at her body, while the audio says: "Hello! Human!"

Next the dog, clearly exasperated, plonks his body on top the woman, as the video ends: "Well, only one logical thing to do.. perfect."

The adorable footage, which was posted on April 10, is captioned: "Poor Apollo just wants love."

The video, which can be viewed here, has so far been viewed a whopping 35.8 million times and received more than 4.7 million likes.

Many people flooded the comments section with their thoughts on the funny clip.

One TikTok user, Jamie Peterson, wrote: "You can tell he's very used to LOTS of attention."

Another person, Hockey Boy, added: "I am sorry I can't get over the fact of how freaking tall he is compared to you."

Patt Collins demanded: "You better give that boy some love."

Dinna Fonseka gushed: "Oh my go oh my god I can spend my whole life only with him."

Meg White joked: "That is me when my boyfriend tries to ignore me."

Rachel explained: "Haha mine does the same thing, she's been pushing my phone out of my hand all morning wanting love lol."

Jacob Brussel revealed: "I have two Great Danes and they are always wanting attention."

This loving behavior, according to PetTime.com, is typical of the statuesque dog breed.

The site explains: "Great Danes certainly hold stature in the dog world; but though they look terribly imposing, in reality, they're one of the best-natured dogs around.

"For all of their size, Great Danes are sweet, affectionate pets. They love to play and are gentle with children."

And in other news of dogs wanting to be close to humans, a video has gained lots of traction on TikTok showing two American Bull Dogs in chain collars dotingly guarding a baby's crib.

The footage was posted to TikTok on June 15 by TheBullyDistrict, and has so far received more than 125,600 views.
