Internet Baffled by 'Monstrous' Way Woman Eats Her Pizza: 'Ain't No Way'

The internet is baffled by the "monstrous" way in which a woman in Finland allegedly eats her pizza.

Posting in Reddit's "Mildly Infuriating" forum on Tuesday under the username u/alarik98, the woman's boyfriend shared a photo that showed her purported pizza-eating method. The post has garnered more than 20,000 upvotes and over 2,000 comments from shocked Redditors, many of whom said the man should dump his girlfriend immediately.

Others, however, thought the photo was too weird to be true and accused the man of staging the image.

In the now-viral photo, u/alarik98's girlfriend's partially eaten pizza sits atop their table. It's clear that the woman's pizza wasn't pre-cut, but rather than cut her own slices, she folded the pizza in half and ate from the center of the pie.

In the comments section of his post, u/alarik98 added that his girlfriend used a fork and a knife during the process.

"[She] doesn't eat like that regularly, only sometimes," he wrote. "I'm not really sure if there is any logic in it."

One Redditor called the method "monstrous." Others jokingly called it a dealbreaker.

"That's not human. You're with a monster. Dump her immediately," said u/skaag.

"I don't care if she's the sweetest, funniest, most beautiful woman in the world, you need to break up with her," commented u/Emergency_Bowler7690.

"OP [original poster] needs to get a divorce now, and he isn't even married," joked u/Ori_the_SG.

Some commenters went so far as to say the photo was fake.

"This photo is so insane it must be fake," said u/EverquestJunky.

"Has to be fake, no way a real human does this," wrote u/on-reddit-for-pewds.

u/PierreG007 added: "Ain't no way, wtf."

However, one curious commenter strayed from offering critique and instead asked if the pizza was from Kotipizza—a popular pizza chain based in Vaasa, Finland.

According to Atlas Obscura, the restaurant once won an international pizza competition for its "Pizza Berlusconi." The creation, named after the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, features a "rye crust smothered in smoked reindeer, cheese, red onion, and chanterelle mushrooms."

"In 2005, [Berlusconi] declared that Finns ate only 'marinated reindeer.' He also described the Finnish diet as something he 'endured' on a visit to the Nordic nation," Atlas Obscura explained.

"Finns responded to the diplomatic faux pas by creating an Italian dish in homage to Berlusconi. And what could be more Italian than pizza?" the magazine continued.

Redditor u/alarik98 clarified that the pizza was not from Kotipizza. Newsweek reached out to the Redditor for comment.
