'Jupiter's Legacy' Explained: Who Are the Superheroes in the Netflix Show and What Powers Do They Have?
Jupiter's Legacy is the latest superhero show to come to a streaming service following The Boys and Invincible on Amazon and Disney+'s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Like those shows, the Netflix drama is based on a comic—in this case, Mark Millar's Jupiter's Legacy series about a historic group of superheroes from the mid-20th century and the children who are trying to live up to their parents.
For those who have not read the comics, here's everything you need to know about the main characters before they arrive on Netflix on May 7.

Note: All superheroes in the Jupiter's Legacy comics have superhuman speed, strength, durability, agility, stamina, sight, flight, and accelerated healing/decelerated aging.
Sheldon Sampson / The Utopian
Who are they: The leader of a group of superheroes known as The Union, who was given powers by aliens via a gateway on a mysterious island.
Played by: Josh Duhamel, the ex-husband of Fergie and star of the Transformers films.
Powers: Enhanced vision, telepathy and telekinesis.
Walter Sampson / Brainwave
Who are they: The brother of Sheldon who is frequently feuding with his sibling.
Played by: Ben Daniels, the British actor who has starred in The Crown, House of Cards and the TV version of The Exorcist.
Powers: Mind control and telepathy.
Grace Sampson / Lady Liberty
Who are they: Sheldon's wife, and a successful businesswoman in her own right.
Played by: Leslie Bibb of the Iron Man, The Babysitter movies and American Housewife.
Powers: The power of self-sustenance, meaning she does need to breathe, eat, drink or sleep.
Chloe Sampson / Lady Liberty II
Who are they: The daughter of Sheldon and Grace, who works as an influencer and is addicted to narcotics.
Played by: Elena Kampouris of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 and Sacred Lies.
Powers: Superhuman speed, strength, durability, agility, stamina and sight, flight, and accelerated healing, plus flight, telekinesis and the ability to create force fields.
Brandon Sampson / The Paragon
Who are they: Grace and Sheldon's son who tries to follow in his father's footsteps in order to finally get his approval.
Played by: Andrew Horton of How to Talk to Girls at Parties.
Powers: Telekinesis and energy projection.
Fitz Small / The Flare
Who are they: A founding member of The Union, who was paralyzed during one of the superheroes' missions.
Played by: Mike Wade of SEAL Team.
Powers: The power of self-sustenance and the ability to project beams of yellow energy.
George Hutchence / Skyfox
Who are they: A rich friend of Sheldon, who then turned against The Union.
Played by: Matt Lanter, who starred in the 90210 reboot before voicing Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars.
Powers: Self-sustenance, plus genius-level intellect and an affinity with gadgets.
Richard Conrad / Blue Bolt
Who are they: A founding member of the Union, who in the comics is a closeted homosexual.
Played by: David Julian Hirsh of Weeds.
Powers: As well as the regular powers, Blue Bolt has a Power Rod that can project energy as a weapon.
