Kellyanne Conway's Daughter Claudia Dislikes Donald Trump, Defends Forming Own Opinion

Claudia Conway, daughter of counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway, is the latest member of the New Jersey-based political family to be drawn into the divisive world of President Donald Trump.

The teenage daughter of Trump counselor Kellyanne and Trump critic George Conway is the focus of both political scrutiny and family intrigue Tuesday after high-profile journalists shared TikTok videos and Instagram posts of her criticizing the president and highlighting activist causes. Claudia, who is one of four Conway children including her twin brother George IV, told critics and social media followers alike that she has formed her own opinions by educating herself - advice which she passed on to critical Trump supporters in the comment sections of recent TikTok videos.

Claudia Conway was placed in the national spotlight Monday evening after New York Times reporter Taylor Lorenz shared several videos of the teenager teasing supporters of the president and proving to skeptics she is truly Kellyanne's daughter. Conway encouraged her more than 16,000 TikTok followers to leave one-star reviews of Trump businesses and sarcastically described the difficulty of having political opinions different from that of her politically polarized parents.

"Would be [a] shame if we all left one star reviews on all of trumps restaurants," the teenage Conway captioned a TikTok video shared Monday night by Lorenz. Another screenshot depicts her posting "Save Barron 2020" content, a reference toward the president's own teenage son.

"Why do people hate on trump supporters.. like why can't we just respect everyone's opinions?" Claudia posted in a Saturday TikTok video, pretending to shed tears. "SIKE nah block me pls and then educate yourself."

Conway has expressed her support for Black Lives Matter protests and urged Americans to seek justice in the Louisville, Kentucky police shooting death of Breonna Taylor.

Kellyanne and George Conway have been married since April 2001. But the Alpine, New Jersey-based couple underwent nationwide scrutiny last year after George began publicly ridiculing Trump and publicly questioning his mental health. George's frequent criticism of Trump garnered him more than one million Twitter followers - but it also drew the president himself into critiquing his counselor's marriage.

"George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife's success & angry that I, with her help, didn't give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!" Trump tweeted in March 2019, prompting withering rebukes from the attorney.

Reacting Monday to TikTok commenters posting "Trump 2020" and challenging her identity, Conway posted several videos urging her followers to form their own opinions instead of relying on their parents for information.

"Believe it or not, you can have your own opinions," Conway said in a Monday TikTok video addressing supporters of the president. "Not influenced by your parents at all, simply by educating yourself."

"Hello sis welcome to the left," one follower commented on a Monday video. "Hehe I've been here girly," Claudia replied.
