The Kyle Tucker sweepstakes is seemingly the top storyline of the entire offseason, and it's taken quite a few turns over the last few weeks.

At one point, Tucker was projected to land over $400 million, but recently, there's been growing buzz that he could sign a short-term deal with a higher average annual value. This could see him earn around $200 million or less on a four or five-year deal. But this buzz might not be the end result for Tucker.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported that he still expects Tucker to sign for at least $300 million this winter, though he notes that the slugger might not land the $400 million he was once expected to land.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker

...

"Tucker, who joined the Astros in Mets baseball president David Stearns’ last year in Houston (2015), may not get the $400M some predicted but he should still fly past $300M, execs predict — unless he prefers a shorter deal with higher (average annual value) and opt-outs," Heyman wrote.

The New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, and Los Angeles Dodgers have long been seen as the favorites for the Chicago Cubs superstar. But the New York Mets have seemingly entered the sweepstakes over the past few days.

These four teams stand out above the rest in the Tucker sweepstakes. They all have a massive need for an outfielder right now. They're all looking to win the World Series title next year and for years to come. But most importantly, they all have the money to offer Tucker the caliber of deal he's looking for.

The bidding should clear $300 million with ease.
