Did Anyone Win the $45 Mega Millions Jackpot on 11/9/2021? Numbers and Results

The results of the Mega Millions lottery game for November 9, offering a jackpot prize of $45 million with a cash-value option of $32.7 million, were revealed on Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET.

The latest numbers drawn were 9, 14, 16, 26 and 49 for the white balls, while the yellow Mega Ball was 14 and the Megaplier was 3x.

There were no winners of the top jackpot prize or the second prize, valued at $1 million. The second prize would have been worth $3 million had there been any winners who purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1.

However, 16 players correctly matched four white balls and the Mega Ball, winning them each $10,000. Four of the winners bought the Megaplier, which tripled their third prize earning to $30,000.

A group of 278 ticket holders matched four white balls but not the Mega Ball, each winning $500, with 63 of them each bagging the Megaplier prize of $1,500.

There were 691 players who matched three white balls, each winning $200, with 180 of them each winning the Megaplier prize of $600.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Friday, November 12, at 11 p.m. ET, for a jackpot prize of $53 million, with a cash-value option of $38.5 million.

Last Friday's game also had no winners of the jackpot prize. But a ticket sold in Texas correctly matched the five white balls (but not the Mega Ball), which earned the ticket holder the second prize of $1 million. Had they purchased the Megaplier option, their prize would have been doubled to $2 million.

Twelve players matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to each take home the third prize of $10,000. None of the these winners purchased the Megaplier.

How to Play Mega Millions

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. Five white balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70, while one yellow Mega Ball is drawn from balls numbered 1 through 25. You win if the numbers on your lottery ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play. If no one wins the jackpot prize, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing.

Most states offer a Megaplier option, which costs an additional $1 per play and increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four or five times. Before each Mega Millions drawing on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Megaplier is drawn from a pool of 15 balls. Five of these balls are marked with 2X, six with 3X, three with 4X and one with 5X.

The odds of winning with a $2 Mega Millions ticket are one in 303 million. See the Mega Millions website for more information.
