With the Spring Blossom Fest coming to a close, a new update and event are coming to Monster Hunter World. On Tuesday, Capcom announced a new limited-time event quest, Siege of Kulve Taroth. What is Kulve Taroth, you ask? It's a new Elder Dragon in the same vein as Zorah Magdaros and Nergigante.

Siege of Kulve Taroth is the first of a brand new limited-time quest type, which requires the collaborative efforts of all players in the same Gathering Hub (which can house up to 16 hunters). Each party will split off into groups of up to four each, but will work together to investigate and trackdown the same Kulve Taroth.

Each party can contribute progress to the same Siege by collecting tracks and breaking off parts by attacking Kulve Taroth. This new quest type is designed for multiplayer, so gather your squad and take down this new Elder Dragon.

Of course, Monster Hunter World players will want to defeat the Kulve Taroth to create new gear and weapons from its parts. Capcom hasn't revealed much about the type and stats of the new gear and weapons yet, but the smithy should be able to cook up something interesting for you and your Palico.

The Kulve Taroth Siege will start on April 18 at 8 p.m. EDT along with the second free content update, and will be live only for a limited time. It will return at a later date, which Capcom has yet to confirm.
