Pastor Greg Locke Calls Joe Biden 'The Real Virus In This Country'
Conservative Tennessee pastor Greg Locke has called U.S. President Joe Biden the "real virus in this country" and a "Fake President", in his latest fiery diatribe on Twitter.
"The real virus in this country is Fake President Joe Biden," the outspoken pastor tweeted late Monday.
Earlier, Locke, 45, accused White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci of being "a liar that only wants your life to be controlled by political elites."
"They're all in bed together," he added in his tweet.
Newsweek contacted the pastor to further elaborate on his comments.
Locke, a pastor at the Global Vision Bible Church in Nashville, has previously made controversial comments about Biden. On Sunday, during a sermon, he insisted Biden was not legitimately elected, and claimed only "crack-smoking" leftists would think he beat Donald Trump to the White House.
He added that the Democrat's days were numbered.
Locke has also previously made false claims around the COVID-19 pandemic and raged against what he's called "Delta variant nonsense."
During the Sunday sermon, Locke pushed false claims that an executive order signed by the state's Republican governor authorizes "camps" for those unvaccinated against the virus.
"They've authorized the Tennessee Department of FEMA to build what they call—in his own authorized pages of a signature—quarantine camps," said Locke, in a clip shared to Twitter by Right Wing Watch. "I ain't talking about East Germany, I'm talking about Tennessee. Quarantine camps for the uninformed people that are still in refusal to be vaccinated."
"Look, if that don't bother you, you might as well show up at another church next week, cause I'm gonna keep raising Cain about all this nonsense," he added.
In the early days of the pandemic, the pastor repeatedly called COVID-19 a hoax and refused to comply with public health advice. In July, he even demanded that churchgoers ditch their masks, or face being asked to leave the building.
On August 9, Locke's home state Tennessee recorded 9,186 new cases of the disease and 179 additional deaths. Another 234 people were hospitalized from COVID-19 in the state over the last 24 hours.
Locke rose to fame in April 2016 after he released an internet video that went viral on social media, where he decried the morality of restroom policies at the Target retailer that allowed people who use the toilet they felt expressed their correct gender.
Since releasing that video, the pastor has gained a large following, with many of his videos having been viewed millions of times.
