'Pokémon Go' Hatchathon Event: Double Candy, Stardust and More

A new event has begun in Pokémon Go, and it revolves around hatching as many Eggs as possible.

The Pokémon Go Hatchathon event will give trainers almost two weeks to collect and hatch as many Eggs as possible to receive special bonuses. This is the perfect time for Pokémon Go players to get out there and start walking especially with the new Adventure Sync feature that tracks your steps when the app is on in the background.

It's the perfect new addition for Pokémon Go, especially for the winter months. If you haven't activated the Adventure Sync feature in Pokémon Go, you can follow our step-by-step instructions.

If you're looking to take full advantage of the Pokémon Go Hatchathon event, here's the start and end time, as well as all the in-game bonuses you'll receive.

The Pokémon Go Hatchathon event begins January 2 at 4 p.m. EST and ends January 15 at 4 p.m. EST.

As for in-game bonuses during the Hatchathon event, Pokémon Go players will receive twice the amount of Candy when hatching Pokémon. Stardust will also be doubled whenever you hatch a Pokémon from an Egg.

If you've been stocking up on one-use Incubators over the last few days during the Holiday event, this could be the perfect time to start using them.

Certain Pokémon hatch from specific Eggs, and during the Hatchathon event, 5km and 10km Eggs are more likely to be received from PokeStops and Gyms. If you need a refresher as to what the current pool of Pokémon that hatch from Eggs are, check out the list below.
