A new Raid Boss update has arrived in Pokémon Go to coincide with the third week of the Ultra Bonus event.
Week 2 of the event brought Deoxys and all of its forms to Raids, this week will see the return of Mewtwo. However, this return of the Psychic Legendary Pokémon will see the debut of its Shiny form and an exclusive new move.
Here's everything you need to know about the latest Raid update in Pokémon Go including which Pokémon are best to take down Mewtwo.

POKEMON GO MEWTWO COUNTERS
Mewtwo is a pure Psychic-type Pokémon, which makes it weak to Bug, Dark and Ghost-type attacks. It also resists Psychic and Fighting-type attacks, so players will want to avoid using Pokémon that use those moves.
There are plenty of Pokémon available, especially Legendaries, that can do well against Mewtwo. Similar to the Deoxys Raids last week, the same Pokémon will do well against Mewtwo.
Players will also have a chance at catching a Shiny Mewtwo after defeating the Legendary in a Raid battle. Mewtwo's purple colors change to a bright green when it is in its Shiny form.
The Mewtwo you catch from these Raid battles will also have the exclusive Psychic-type attack, Psystrike.
Here are the some of the best options to take on Mewtwo in Pokémon Go:
- Giratina with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
- Gengar with Lick and Shadow Ball
- Mewtwo with Psycho Cut and Shadow Ball
- Tyranitar with Bite and Crunch
- Banette with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
- Absol with Snarl and Dark Pulse
- Weavile with Feint Attack and Foul Play
- Honchkrow with Snarl and Dark Pulse
- Rayquaza with Dragon Tail and Outrage
- Pinsir with Bug Bite and X-Scissor
- Scizor with Fury Cutter and X-Scissor
POKEMON GO RAID UPDATE
Niantic confirmed that the Pokémon that will inhabit Raids this week will be Pokémon that can help trainers take on Mewtwo. This means that there will be plenty Bug, Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon to catch.
Certain Gen 5 Pokémon will also make their debuts in Raids. Lillipup, Patrat and Klink are confirmed to be in Raids. In the case of Klink, this will be the only place the Steel-type Pokémon can be caught in Pokémon Go.
