'Pokémon Go' Raid Update: Darkrai Counters and Every Boss Change

The 2019 Halloween event in Pokémon Go has begun and it brings new Pokémon, Shiny forms and a change to the Raid Bosses.

Like past events, Pokémon Go shook up the Raids for the two-week Halloween celebration. Trainers will want to walk to a Raid to have a chance of catching powerful Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon.

There's also unique special Pokémon with costumes on, but the highlight of this Raid update is the debut of Darkrai.

Here's everything you need to know about the current Raids in Pokémon Go and how to take out Darkrai.

POKEMON GO DARKRAI COUNTERS

Darkrai is a pure Dark-type Pokémon, which makes it weak to Bug, Fighting and Fairy-type attacks.

The Mythical Pokémon's typing makes it resistant to Ghost, Dark and Psychic-type attacks so stay clear of using Pokémon with those moves. To take on Darkrai trainers will want to bring a ton of Fighting-type Pokémon and there are a handful of very good ones. If you're looking to form a team of six, you should look into using these Pokémon.

  • Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch
  • Hariyama with Counter and Dynamic Punch
  • Breloom with Counter and Dynamic Punch
  • Togekiss with Charm and Dazzling Gleam
  • Toxicroak with Counter and Dynamic Punch
  • Heracross with Counter and Close Combat
