On Wednesday, Game Freak revealed fresh information on Pokémon Sword and Shield, including more new Pokémon and details about gameplay features.

Five new Pokémon were revealed alongside the box legendaries. The Direct also detailed the new battle feature called Dynamax and introduced some of the trainers and people you'll meet along your adventure..

Sword and Shield will release on November 15 as a global release. A special double pack, which includes both versions, up for pre-order today.

There's a ton of Pokémon Sword and Shield information to go through, so here's everything that was shown during the June Pokémon Direct.

THE GALAR REGION

Pokémon battles are the most popular form of entertainment in the Galar region, and Stadiums were built to watch battles between Gym Leaders and trainers. These Stadiums are designed to accommodate the new Dynamax battle feature, which we will get to in a bit.

Gym Leaders and battles return to the Pokémon franchise after the Island Trials of the Alola region. The first Gym Leader you'll encounter is Milo, the Grass-type specialist whose credo is "to always enjoy battles, and he specializes in endurance matches using Grass-type Pokémon."

Milo's signature Pokémon is Eldegoss, a new Pokémon that we'll get to later.

The Galar region's The Wild Area refers to locations between cities. Here, trainers will see different Pokémon appear depending on the weather. You can even control the camera to find Pokémon and items while exploring the Wild Area.

NEW TRAINERS AND PEOPLE

Along your journey, you'll meet powerful trainers and people who will help you on your adventure. Leon is the greatest trainer in the Galar region and the region's champion. He's undefeated and his signature Pokémon is Charizard.

Leon's younger brother, Hop, is your rival. He trains hard to be a champion like his brother and will begin his journey on the same day as you.

Professor Magnolia is the professor of the Galar region and researches the Dynamax phenomenon. Sonia is Magnolia's granddaughter and acts as her assistant.

NEW POKEMON OF SWORD AND SHIELD

Five new Pokémon were revealed in the latest Pokémon Sword and Shield trailer. The first is Wooloo, which is a sheep Pokémon with fluffy fur used by people to make clothes and other items.

Gossifleur is the flowering Pokémon. They like areas of clean air and water. It can evolve into Eldegoss, Milo's signature Pokémon.

Drednaw is the bite Pokémon. It looks like a snapping turtle that bites on rock and steel.

Corviknight can be used as a flying taxi allowing trainers to go back to towns they have previously visited.

A lot more new Pokémon can be discovered in the Galar region, along with Pokémon from older regions like Axew and more.

LEGENDARY POKEMON

The end of the Pokémon Sword and Shield trailer revealed the box Legendary Pokémon. Like the logos suggested, both Legendary Pokémon are wolf-like creatures that embody a sword and shield.

The sword in Zaclan's mouth mouth is said to be able to cut through anything. Zamazenta is the shield Pokémon, whose head and mane is covered in armor, capable of turning back any attack thrown at it.

At the end of the clip, both Legendary Pokémon are approached by something that causes them to stop fighting and team up. Perhaps a third Legendary Pokémon will be a part of the Sword and Shield story.

DYNAMAX - NEW WAY TO BATTLE

Dynamax is a new way to battle in Sword and Shield. Pokémon from the Galar region can become massive in size and boost their power. Dynamaxing can only be used once per battle and the Pokémon will revert back to normal size in three turns. Trainers will use this new battle feature to take on Gym Leaders and other opponents.

Max Raid Battles can be done outside of battles, where there's a red beacon in towns or Wild Areas. Up to four trainers can fight a Dynamax Pokémon will allow up to four trainers to fight but only one can use Dynamax so cooperation is key.

The wild Pokémon will keep their massive size throughout the battle and will be stronger than usual, so it'll be much harder to win. Trainers can catch a Dynamax Pokémon, but what makes them different is unclear.

Max Raid Pokémon will change depending on weather and other factors, like if you do a Raid in a town as opposed to the Wild Area.

Trainers can use the local wireless or play with others around the world, provided they have a Nintendo Switch Online account.

Pokémon Sword and Shield will release on November 15 on Nintendo Switch.
