Prince Harry Tells Joe Rogan 'Just Stay Out of it' After Vaccine Remarks

Prince Harry has spoken out against Joe Rogan's vaccine comments—and has told his fellow Spotify host: "With a platform comes responsibility."

The Duke of Sussex appeared at the Vax Live concert to raise money to vaccinate the world at SoFi stadium on May 2.

And when he went on the Armchair Experts podcast he had some words for the UFC commentator, who suggested healthy young people should not get jabbed.

Prince Harry appeared to bring the subject up, asking host Dax Shepard: "what's your feelings about Joe Rogan's comments?"

He added: "I think the issue is in today's world with misinformation just, like, endemic, you've got to be careful about what comes out of your mouth when it comes to that because news doesn't exist in just news any more.

"It's splattered all over the place so people are, like, 'listen to Joe Rogan,' say 'oh if he says that then maybe I'm...'

"You're right 'don't listen to me,' well don't say that. Just stay out of it. If you have a platform, with a platform comes responsibility."

Rogan caused controversy when he suggested young people should not get vaccinated if they are healthy and not vulnerable in April.

He said: "I think you should get vaccinated if you're vulnerable. I think you should get vaccinated if you feel like—my parents are vaccinated?

"I've said, yeah, I think for the most part it's safe to get vaccinated. I do. I do. But if you're like 21 years old, and you say to me, 'should I get vaccinated?' I'll go 'no.' Are you healthy?

"Are you a healthy person? Like, look, don't do anything stupid, but you should take care of yourself.

"You should—if you're a healthy person, and you're exercising all the time, and you're young, and you're eating well, like, I don't think you need to worry about this."

Meghan also made her first major appearance since her bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview during a pre-recorded message which was aired when the Vax Live event was broadcast.

The Duchess of Sussex said: "The past year has been defined by communities coming together tirelessly and heroically to tackle COVID-19.

"We've gathered tonight because the road ahead is getting brighter. But it's going to take every one of us to find our way forward.

"As campaign chairs of Vax Live, my husband and I believe it's critical that our recovery prioritizes the health, safety, and success of everyone, and particularly women, who have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic."

She added: "But if we work together to bring vaccines to every country and continent, insist that vaccines are equitably distributed and fairly priced, and ensure that governments around the world are donating their additional vaccines to countries in need, then we can begin to fully rebuild.

"Not only to restore us to where we were before, but to go further and rapidly advance the conditions, opportunity, and mobility for women everywhere."
