PS5 Restock Update for Best Buy, Walmart, Newegg, Costco, Amazon and More

PS5s are still in high demand across the country, with not a single major retailer having them in stock at the time of writing.

Walmart was briefly selling the digital edition of Sony's next-gen console in the early hours of the morning, but those supplies only lasted for a few minutes before they sold out. Analysts are now suggesting that the next batch of PlayStation 5 units will be available at Best Buy, although the expected timeframe for this is a little vague.

Below is a breakdown of the latest information.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

While they are not selling PS5s at the moment, dedicated console trackers are advising gamers to keep a close watch on Best Buy. The reason many are predicting that a restock is imminent is that the retailer has just added a PS5 bundle that includes Ratchet & Clank: A Rift Apart to their online storefront.

The bundle is currently displaying as "sold out" on the website, despite the fact that it has never actually been available from Best Buy. According to trackers, this indicates that the product page has been set up in anticipation of a new drop later today. If this is the case, then the "sold out" text is presumably just a placeholder.

There is no word yet on when the rumoured bundle might be available to purchase, but historically Best Buy updates its PS5 stock before 4 p.m. ET. Following Twitter accounts like @Wario64 or @GYXdeals can help you keep abreast of any future updates.

Walmart PS5 Restock

Walmart is the latest outlet to have PS5 units available for purchase. This morning, they added a limited number of digital edition consoles to their store, but this was at around 3 a.m. ET and they were very quickly snapped up by those already poised for the drop.

We managed to add one to our basket, but after getting to the end of the transaction we were informed that the item had sold out. There is currently no hint of when more units will become available at Walmart, and console trackers are instead recommending that you focus your attention on Best Buy for now.

Target PS5 Restock

Target has not had any PS5s since May. According to dedicated console trackers, the outlet's inventory numbers are extremely low across the entire country and there is no indication of when the situation might improve.

In the unlikely event that more stock does become available, the announcement will likely occur early in the morning ET on Target's social media channels.

Newegg PS5 Restock

Newegg will sometimes offer PS5s bundled together with games and accessories, such as Spider-Man: Miles Morales or a VR headset. These are always featured in what the retailer calls a "Newegg Shuffle", which is basically just a lottery draw that gives you a chance to make a purchase.

With that in mind, even if you do see a PS5 on the site, it is not a guarantee that you will be able to get your hands on it.

Newegg's most recent PS5 shuffle took place last Wednesday and since then they have had no follow-up raffles.

Costco PS5 Restock

Costco has not had either the digital or disc edition of the PS5 in stock since April. If any units do become available at the retailer, Twitter accounts like @Wario64 or @GYXdeals will let you know in advance.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

Despite predictions last Friday, Sony's own storefront has not released any additional PS5 consoles yet.

Many were predicting that units would be added to the website to coincide with the launch of the PS5's latest flagship title, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. At the time of writing, this has still not happened.

If the virtual queue does reopen soon, Twitter accounts like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals will be the first to let you know.

GameStop PS5 Restock

Neither the digital nor disc edition of the PS5 is currently available at GameStop.

There are rumours of special events taking place next Tuesday and Wednesday, which will reportedly see Nintendo and Xbox consoles up for grabs in-store. As far as trackers can tell, this will not include any PlayStation units, but it is potentially worth keeping an eye on your local GameStop shelves just in case.

Amazon PS5 Restock

At the time of writing, you cannot add a PS5 to your Amazon basket. A note on the product page, which has been there for nearly two weeks, indicates that the retailer is unsure when they will be getting more stock in.
