PS5 Restock Update for GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart and More

Rumors persist online that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X units may be restocked over the coming days, but at the time of writing, there are no supplies at most outlets.

Here is a breakdown of the latest information.

GameStop PS5 Restock

Neither version of the PS5 console is currently available at GameStop. Yet there is potentially a reason for you to get your hopes up.

In a recent thread concerning the upcoming PS5 exclusive Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, the retailer's official Twitter account cryptically replied to a number of customers, in a way that appeared to suggest their inventory might be restocked in order to coincide with the game's release.

This would corroborate reports from multiple PS5 and Xbox Series X trackers, who have speculated that GameStop will soon be releasing new consoles.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

At the time of writing, there are no PS5s available for purchase at Best Buy. Much like with GameStop, rumors are circulating that this could change during the week, in which case the retailer will be offering online orders that you will then have to pick up in person from one of their stores.

To keep abreast of any changes, follow @Wario64 or @GYXdeals on Twitter for updates.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

PS Direct does not have any units at the moment, although dedicated trackers are expecting them to release new stock to coincide with the release of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.

If that turns out to the case, then Twitter accounts like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals will let you know when the virtual queue reopens.

Newegg PS5 Restock

Newegg was recently offering multiple PS5 bundles as part of their ''Shuffle'' raffle, which gave customers a chance to be drawn at random so that they could buy a PS5. Several Japanese imports of the console were available through this system—as well as a $1,599.99 bundle—but those raffles have now ended.

The $1,599.99 package is still listed on the retailer's site, as is yet another bundle containing a next-gen copy of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. You can even add these to your basket but, once you get to the payment section, a disappointing pop-up will inform you that they are no longer in stock.

Walmart PS5 Restock

Walmart does not have any available PS5 units at the time of writing. Restocks for the outlet tend to occur on Thursdays, at roughly 3 p.m. ET, so it's worth keeping an eye on their Twitter account around then.

Target PS5 Restock

After their last restock in May was promptly cleared out, Target has had no further PS5 units. There is no word on when this might change, but the outlet's restock announcements usually occur early morning ET.

Costco PS5 Restock

The last time Costco had any PS5 consoles in stock was 22 April. Since then, there have been no additional supplies. If this changes, you can get ahead of the crowds by following @Wario64 or @GYXdeals on Twitter for immediate updates.

Amazon PS5 Restock

You will currently be unable to add a PS5, or any associated bundle, to your Amazon basket. A note on the product page says that the retailer is unable to predict when additional supplies will become available.
