PS5 Restock Update for Target, GameStop, Walmart, PS Direct, Amazon and More

After a number of restocks last week, the PS5 is now unavailable at all major U.S retailers. On the bright side, industry analysts are optimistic that Sony's next-generation console will soon be released at either Target, Walmart or GameStop.

Below is a breakdown of the latest PS5 restock information.

Target PS5 Restock

Console trackers are expecting an overdue PS5 restock at Target this week. It has been nearly a fortnight since the outlet last had any units in their inventory (and they typically release them on a fortnightly basis), so it stands to reason that they will soon be getting more.

In the past, PS5 restocks at Target have occurred between 7 a.m. ET and 8 a.m. ET, usually on a Wednesday or a Thursday. Seeing as the time window has already passed for today, it is looking increasingly likely that the restock will be taking place tomorrow. Thursday, July 1.

With that in mind, it is worth keeping an eye on Target's website from 7 a.m. ET.

GameStop PS5 Restock

PS5 units are also expected at GameStop this week. Just like Target, they have not been selling the console for almost a fortnight and are due for a restock.

Based on GameStop's track record, if they do restock over the coming days it will likely be at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Walmart PS5 Restock

Walmart is the final outlet that is potentially due for a fortnightly PS5 restock, given that their last one occurred on Thursday, June 17.

If the retailer does get more units in, it will probably be Thursday (Walmart's drops tend to occur on Thursdays) at around 3 p.m. ET.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

Sony's official storefront, PS Direct, was selling PlaySation 5 consoles last week to pre-selected customers, but the virtual queue never opened to the rest of the public. This means that only a handful of units were offloaded.

As such, there is a slight possibility that leftover stock might be released this week. Analysts are skeptical that this will happen, but it is worth keeping an eye on the PS Direct storefront just in case.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

Best Buy was the last U.S retailer to be offering PS5s units, but they have since sold out. Both the digital and disc editions of Sony's console were up for grabs at 11:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 29. These were going for $399 and $499 respectively.

The units were reportedly leftovers from last week's sale, which means that the retailer's inventory is now fully depleted.

Newegg PS5 Restock

To get a PS5 (or any other popular electronic item) from Newegg you will need to enter a randomized lottery drawn, known as a "Shuffle."

It has been a while since the last PS5 shuffle occurred at Newegg, so there could be a new one soon. To keep abreast of any developments, follow the likes of @Wario64 or @GYXdeals.

Amazon PS5 Restock

Amazon was selling both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X as part of its Prime Day flash sale last week. Given the recency of this, it is unlikely they will have any further stock inbound over the coming days.

Costco PS5 Restock

Costco was selling the disc edition of the PS5 Thursday, June 24, and is therefore unlikely to have any more stock this week.

If there is an unanticipated drop at Costco, dedicated trackers like @Wario64 or @GYXdeals will be the first to let you know.
