PS5 Restock Update for Walmart, PS Direct, Target, Amazon, Best Buy and More

PS5 restocks continue to be few and far between at the moment, as we seem to be in the midst of another drought. That being said, there is at least one merchant that could be preparing to release new supplies this week.

Below is a breakdown of the latest PS5 restock information.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

In our previous update, we reported that Sony's official storefront had been selling PlayStation 5 units on July 16 to pre-determined customers only.

In this particular instance, the virtual queue was reserved for those who had been sent email invitations ahead of time, and it never opened up to the rest of the public.

Yesterday, PS Direct finally released new units for everybody who missed out last time. For a half-hour window, at 5 p.m. ET, the next-gen console was available to purchase in both its disc and digital editions, with these being priced at $499 and $399 respectively.

Walmart PS5 Restock

Now that PS Direct has completely sold out, Walmart is the only remaining merchant that is likely to be offering PS5s this week.

The outlet is long overdue for a restock, as its last one was nearly three weeks ago now and it was incredibly short-lived. When new supplies were released on July 1, they were depleted mere seconds after the website was updated, so it hardly qualified as a major drop.

Walmart typically restocks on Thursdays at 3 p.m. ET, so it is worth keeping an eye on their social media channels tomorrow for any prospective announcements.

GameStop PS5 Restock

GameStop did restock on PS5s last Friday, but the outlet was explicitly prioritizing its "PowerPro Rewards" customers for this sale. As such, their inventory was exhausted long before anybody else got a chance to place an order.

If you want to benefit from this exclusivity window next time, you can sign up for a PowerPro rewards membership for the cost of $14.99 a year.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

Best Buy was selling both the disc and digital edition of the PS5 last Wednesday. With this being so recent, it is unlikely that the merchant will have any extra units for at least another week.

Newegg PS5 Restock

On Friday, a PS5 bundle was available as part of the daily Newegg Shuffle. This lottery draw has since closed, and you can no longer find the next-gen console anywhere on Newegg's website. That is with the exception of overpriced units that are being traded by third-party scalpers.

Target PS5 Restock

At the time of writing, you are unable to buy a PS5 from Target. Generally speaking, the outlet tends to restock on Thursday mornings so, if they do get more units this week, it will be tomorrow (July 22).

Antonline PS5 Restock

Antonline somehow managed to coordinate two separate restocks last week, with the first taking place on Wednesday, July 14 and the second following shortly thereafter on Friday.

On both occasions the console sold out in just under 5 minutes, meaning that you can no longer get the next-gen hardware from Antonline.

Amazon PS5 Restock

Unless you stumble across a third-party reseller or scalper (who will inevitably charge you an extortionate price), you will not be able to find a PS5 anywhere on the Amazon marketplace.

Dedicated console trackers like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals will publicize the next official restock when it occurs.
