Rudy Giuliani Allies Create 'Freedom Fund' to Defend Him From Lawsuits, 'Deep State' Attacks

Allies of Rudy Giuliani said Saturday that they have banded together to create a defense fund in order to assist him with a serious of lawsuits, investigations, and so-called attacks from the "deep state."

In a statement on Twitter, former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik announced the development of the Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund, a legal defense meant to assist Giuliani with multiple ongoing probes.

"In an attempt to assist ⁦@RudyGiuliani to defend himself from frivolous lawsuits, a weaponized Justice Department, and the New York Bar, we have created the Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund. This is the official Defense Fund for this American Patriot," Kerik wrote.

Giuliani, who previously served as former President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, has recently come under legal fire for his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Earlier this week, the New York Supreme Court's Appellate Division suspended Giuliani's law license after citing what the five-justice panel described as his "demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public."

"These false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent's narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client," the decision read.

Giuliani is also being sued by the voting software company Dominion Voting Systems for spreading false and misleading claims about the election outcome.

Furthermore, the former New York City mayor is under investigation by prosecutors in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) over his dealings with Ukraine and his connection to two businessmen, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. His apartment was searched in April as part of the probe.

But Giuliani's allies claim that he is under attack by members of the "deep state" who are seeking to take down all of Trump's personal allies.

"The Deep State is on a mission to take down every single one of President Donald J. Trump's closest allies," the Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund website read. "Now, the swamp is revolting by placing a bull's eye on the backs of every Trump loyalist who had the guts to challenge the Deep State. That puts Rudy at the top of their list."

According to the fund's website, the goal is to raise a total of $5,000,000 to aid in Giuliani's legal defense.

"Rudy's fate will determine if America still is a Republic governed by We The People, or if the swamp has finally amassed total control of our great country. That's why Rudy urgently needs YOUR help as he battles for his freedom and justice," the website further stated.

On Friday, Giuliani criticized the suspension of his law license and said the SDNY investigation was completely "un-American."

Trump has also condemned the move and said that all of New York is "out of control."

"Can you believe that New York wants to strip Rudy Giuliani, a great American Patriot, of his law license because he has been fighting what has already been proven to be a Fraudulent Election?" Trump said.

"The greatest mayor in the history of New York City, the Eliot Ness of his generation, one of the greatest crime fighters our Country has ever known, and this is what the Radical Left does to him," he added.
