OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has been spotted with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, Joshua Kushner and others at the annual "summer camp for billionaires" in the mountains of central Idaho.

Altman and other titans from the media, tech and finance industries are in The Gem State for a week for the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference, the corporate executive retreat named for its location that has become one of the year's biggest and most influential gatherings of the private-jet and supercar class.

This year's meeting of the elites runs from July 9 to 13.

Altman was seen arriving at the Sun Valley Conference on Tuesday, July 9 with his husband, Oliver Mulherin. The OpenAI CEO had a huge grin on his face and the two were pictured hopping on a golf cart.

The dress code for the week has always seemed to be casual and outdoorsy. Some people wear power suits, while others wear vests and T-shirts.

Often, attendees play tennis matches and golf games as well as take hikes in the Sawtooth Mountains.

Altman was seen after attending a morning session on July 11 in Sun Valley walking with Mulherin as well as CNN superstar Anderson Cooper.

The venture capitalist Joshua Kushner, Jared Kushner's brother, was walking in tow with a notebook.

Not much is known about the inner workings of the invite-only gathering, where members of the media are kept at arm's length (Anderson Cooper notwithstanding). The itinerary for the week is kept private, sparking gossip and intrigue and even a parody on the HBO show Succession, right down to the conference's casual dress code and required name tags (yes, even for Mark Zuckerberg).

However, Sun Valley has been the hub for some big media and tech deals, including Jeff Bezos' acquisition of The Washington Post and Google's purchase of YouTube.

Who Else Is There?

While the invitees are kept strictly under wraps, Variety and Bloomberg report that this year's gathering will include more than 60 moguls. The full list is below, broken down by industry, with the caveat that attendance isn't guaranteed.

From photos it appears that more people beyond the list from Variety and Bloomberg are in attendance, such as Boston Globe and Boston Red Sox owner John Henry as well as New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
