Sasha Banks Makes Surprise Return to WWE on Monday Night RAW

After months of being away, Sasha Banks returned to the WWE.

On the August 12 episode of Monday Night RAW, Banks made her grand return when she interrupted Natalya. After Natalya told the Toronto crowd that she had a dislocated shoulder, she began talking about her father, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart - it's been a year since his passing. Banks interrupted her and went into the ring to seemingly console her before she attacked Natalya.

Becky Lynch came out for the save and the two female superstars brawled before Sasha takes out The Man with multiple steel chair shots.

The return of Sasha Banks comes after reports she wanted to leave the WWE on the weekend of WrestleMania 35 in April when she and tag team partner Bayley found out they were dropping the Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics.

Banks reportedly became upset because she was under the impression that she and Bayley would have a long title reign to establish the new championships.

The former RAW Women's Champion was given time off to cool down as they felt her decision to walk away was a rash one. To be fair to Banks, the Women's Tag Team division has been in a state of flux as creative did not know what to do with The IIconics once they won the titles. It was reported that The IIconics were set for a program with the returning Bella Twins, but Nikki Bella had to retire after discovering she had a cyst forming in her brain.

Since that program was scrapped, The IIconics rarely defended the titles before finally losing them on the Monday Night RAW before SummerSlam. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are the current Women's Tag Team Champions.

Sasha's former tag team partner, Bayley is the current SmackDown Women's Champion and has been on WWE television since losing the titles.

It will seem the return of Sasha Banks will make her the next feud for RAW Women's Champion, Becky Lynch. The next WWE pay-per-view is Clash of Champions in September.
