Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie made another emotional public plea on Instagram Sunday night, two weeks after her mother Nancy was abducted, urging whoever took her to come forward.

"It's been two weeks since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope and we still believe," Guthrie said in the video. Speaking directly to her mother's abductor, she added: "You're not lost or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing. We are here. And we believe. And we believe in the essential goodness of every human being."

The NBC News anchor and her siblings have maintained a public presence during the ongoing search for her mother, expressing continued faith that she will be found safe.

What To Know

The FBI released surveillance videos Thursday showing a masked suspect outside Nancy Guthrie's front door the night she vanished. The suspect, described as a man about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build, was wearing a ski mask, long pants, jacket and gloves while carrying a backpack and handgun holster.

Investigators have collected DNA from Guthrie's property that doesn't belong to her or those in close contact with her, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department. Several gloves were found within 2 miles of her home and submitted for lab analysis.

The FBI has received more than 13,000 tips since February 1, while the sheriff's department has taken at least 18,000 calls.

Late Friday night, law enforcement sealed off a road about 2 miles from Guthrie's home and tagged and towed a Range Rover SUV from a nearby restaurant parking lot as part of their investigation. No arrests were made. On Tuesday, deputies detained a person for questioning during a traffic stop south of Tucson but later released them.

Nancy Guthrie lived alone in the upscale Catalina Foothills neighborhood, where houses are spaced far apart.

DNA Evidence Linked to Gloves

The FBI said investigators packaged gloves recovered near the Guthrie residence on February 12, which arrived at a private Florida lab on February 13.

Preliminary DNA results were received on Saturday, with quality control and official confirmation expected before submission of an unknown male profile into the bureau’s national database.

A U.S. law enforcement official told Reuters that the Pima County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) used a private lab in Florida rather than the FBI’s Quantico lab in Virginia, which the official said limited FBI access and delayed its ability to assist.

However, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos disputed that, telling local news station KVOA the FBI agreed with sending all gloves to the long-standing private contractor that county has in Florida.

The sheriff’s office said it executed a search warrant at a residence about two miles from Guthrie’s home, towed a vehicle, and made no arrests, actions it described as part of tracking down leads.

What Happens Next

The investigation continues with several hundred detectives and FBI agents assigned to the case.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department is working closely with the FBI, sending evidence requiring forensic analysis to an out-of-state lab
