Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Performance, Design and Features
I love the new lumbar support, which not only allows me to raise and lower it but also to control the amount of support. This upgrade makes it more comfortable, and it is also helpful when sharing a chair. It is a major improvement from the 2020 model, and it's worth an upgrade all on its own.
The armrests are now swappable, using magnets. The chair ships with matching armrests (in my case PU leather). Secretlab sent over swappable Technogel armrests that are cooling and super soft. I love their modularity, which reminds me of the Secretlab Magnus gaming desk's magnetic upgrades. The armrests are four-directional, allowing you to move them up and down, in and out, and front to back, and you can change the angle.
The neck pillow now attaches with magnets and is a sleeker design, so it looks better and it is easier to get into the right position.
Additionally, the seat base is redesigned with a new waterfall edge and a new design that hugs a little better than the previous Titan model. The Cold-Cure foam also feels softer right away. On previous models, there was a break-in period before the foam reached the optimum comfort level.
Secretlab also changed the grips on the adjustment paddles. Like the previous generation, you can use a recline lever to lay flat when you need to take a break, or if you are leaning back and looking up at a monitor.
These changes to comfort and ergonomics come from an ergonomic advisory board that Secretlab convened to help design the new line of chairs. This results in a more comfortable gaming chair that I can sit in all day.
The new Titan chairs offer upgraded fabric and leather on the 2022 models. Notably, the Neo Hybrid Leatherette is softer than on the previous models. Secretlab says that it is also more durable than regular PU leather. The new SoftWeave Plus fabric version is also more durable.
Comparing the Titan 2022 and Titan 2020 series I have, I could tell that the new leatherette is softer right off the bat. It's easy to keep clean—something I found myself testing after dropping part of my lunch onto the chair. A damp cloth works well, and Secretlab also offers a package of leather wipes, which you can use to keep the chair clean.
With the new materials, there are also new colors for both leatherette and fabric chairs including gray, black, blue, pink, green and white, to name a few. There's a good chance that you can color match your setup. I'm using the Stealth color option, which is black with gold and red accents. The stitching is top-notch, and the build quality of the new model is great.
The overall comfort of the Titan Evo 2022 is impressive, thanks to the ability to adjust the armrests and lumbar support. I am able to use the gaming chair all day for work or to test a gaming monitor without any discomfort. I really notice how much better my back feels after using this new chair.

Assembling the Secretlab Evo Titan 2022 is straightforward and easy to do alone. It took me about 15 minutes to put together. The back of the chair was easy to connect since one of the attachment points is locked in place. The included screwdriver and fallen wrench helped make the process go quickly. I like that the side covers attach with magnets, removing a step from older models.
