Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now a month old, and some of the top players are scruitinzing the roster and ranking each character's merits.
Nintendo hasn't changed the gameplay since the version 1.2 update back in December, but after hours of gameplay with various characters, Leffen, considered the best Smash 4 player in the world, has -evaluated his top picks for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Leffen seemingly changed up his ranking system for Smash Ultimate characters in his new video as well. Instead of going with separate grades, he is lumping characters together into four categories: Top Tier/Well-Rounded, Top Tier/Has Faults, Low Tier/Well-Rounded, and Low Tier/Has Faults. He then places them within each category to show players where fighters of each tier rank.
One character has topped Leffen's latest tier list, and it may surprise Smash Ultimate fans: Princess Peach. Leffen says that Peach's ability to not let players return to the stage after being launched is one reason she's considered one of, if not the best fighter in the game.
Check out Leffen's latest Smash Ultimate tier list below, with a written breakdown following. Leffen does put a disclaimer on his video that any character not on his tier list was not included because either no one uses them or he hasn't had enough time playing as them.
