'Smash Ultimate' Version 2.0 Fighter Adjustments Documented By Nintendo

Version 2.0 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available to download now, but there's more to the latest update then the inclusion of Piranha Plant and multiplayer Spirit Board battles. Fighters in Smash Ultimate have also been adjusted.

Unlike the last patch notes Nintendo released, the version 2.0 adjustments documented details on what was nerfed or buffed for each fighter. While Nintendo could give a bit more info on how certain moves and characters were changed, this is a step in the right direction.

There are way more buffs than nerfs in this patch, mostly related to the time it takes to grab the edge. But certain characters received significant buffs, including Incineroar's up special. The Fire-type Pokémon's recovery now has increased horizontal and vertical distance, giving the character a bit more staying power when launched off a stage.

Another character that received significant changes are Rosalina and Luma. This character is less vulnerable when sending out and calling back Luma, and the little star itself received buffs by increasing the distance it can move and the launch distance from certain attacks.
