'South Park' Vaccination Special: How to Watch Online and On TV

South Park is coming back to Comedy Central this March with its second coronavirus-related special. This time, the special has the QAnon-mocking title South ParQ Vaccination Special, and will see Cartman and the gang demanding vaccines against a tide of conspiracy theory-believing anti-vaxxers who label themselves the Lil' QTies. After airing on Comedy Central and MTV2, the South Park vaccination episode will be available to stream online.

When will the South Park vaccination special air?

The hour-long South ParQ Vaccination Special will first air on Comedy Central and MTV2 in the U.S. on Wednesday, March 10 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT, and will then be reaired on Comedy Central at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT.

The official synopsis for the special reads: "The citizens of South ParQ are clamoring for the COVID-19 vaccine. A hilarious new militant group tries to stop the boys from getting their teacher vaccinated."

So far, Comedy Central has released two trailers for the special. The first showed an old woman flipping off a queue of people as she cut the line to get a COVID vaccination. The second trailer, meanwhile, featured the Lil' QTies, a group of conspiracy theory-loving kids led by Butters, who we see say: "I just wanted to believe in something that would get me out of the house."

'South Park' will air its 'Vaccination Special' on Comedy Central, MTV2 and HBO Max. Comedy Central

Though many shows from the ViacomCBS-owned Comedy Central moved to the company's new streaming service Paramount+ this year, every episode of South Park so far (excluding five removed for their depictions of Muhammad) is streaming now on HBO Max.

The South ParQ Vaccination Special will follow suit, and will be available to watch on HBO Max the day after it airs on Comedy Central. This was confirmed by the HBO Max March line-up, which said that the special would air on Thursday on the streamer.

Though release times vary on HBO Max, the special is expected to be available from 3:00 am ET on Thursday. As HBO Max no longer offers a free trial, however, viewers will be unable to watch the special on the service, which costs $14.99 a month, for free.

Viewers with a cable subscription, however, will be able to watch the special shortly after it airs on the Comedy Central website (CC.com) by signing in with their TV provider details.

Also streaming on both HBO Max and CC.com is The Pandemic Special, the hour-long episode released at the end of September 2020 that became the most-watched episode of the animated comedy in seven years.

After these specials, South Park Season 24 is expected in the coming months, with Comedy Central renewing the show into 2022.

However, fans should not expect it that soon. After The Pandemic Special, its creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone released a making-of video that revealed how hard it was for them to make the show from home.
