The WNBA honors continue to arrive for the Indiana Fever's All-Star backcourt amid an offseason that has featured major headlines about changes to the team.

On Sunday, the league announced the 2026 All-WNBA First Team, with Fever guards Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell both receiving the honor. They were joined by the WNBA MVP, A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles, and New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart.

Upon seeing Clark receive the honor for a second time in her early WNBA career, the Fever sent several special messages on social media to celebrate and recognize the three-time All-Star.

"CC was front-page news all season," they wrote in one X message, showing a graphic of Clark standing before a newsstand.

Another message said, "PG1 without a doubt. congratulations Caitlin Clark on All-WNBA First Team," with a fire emoji included.

The team sent one other message with a video full of highlights of Clark putting moves on defenders to blow past them, or pulling up to hit big jumpshots.

"no one in the world like CC congrats to Caitlin Clark on All-WNBA First Team honors," the Fever wrote on their message.

This past season, Clark averaged 22.3 points, four rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game for the Fever, who reached the postseason but fell to the defending champion Las Vegas Aces 2-1 in a best-of-three first-round playoff series.

Clark also received this honor as a WNBA rookie in 2024, making for an impressive start just three seasons into her career. She's achieving records and making history, but questions remain about her ability to lead the Fever to the WNBA Finals and a championship, given how the organization and team are currently structured.

Things seem to be changing for the Fever, though. On Friday, ESPN reported on the massive front-office overhaul that started with Kelly Krauskopf stepping down as team president, followed by Indiana firing chief operating officer and general manager Amber Cox.

Those moves came after the team recorded a franchise-record 28 wins this past season, but failed to advance past the first round of the WNBA Playoffs. Stephanie White is expected to remain the team's head coach amid the recent front-office moves.

There has been speculation about the Fever making some significant roster decisions this offseason, with Kelsey Mitchell eligible for free agency and various controversies around reserve player Sophie Cunningham.

Clark remains a clear cornerstone of the franchise and is eligible to negotiate a significantly more lucrative contract in 2027 under the WNBA's new collective-bargaining agreement, thanks to her previous All-WNBA First Team recognition.
