After the game, the skipper did just that, giving a rousing speech to his players about what their Game 3 win meant.
"Hey, I just want to say, I know I speak for every single person in this clubhouse, I've never been more proud of each one of you guys," he said in the clubhouse.
"Going way, way, way above whatever anyone has ever asked of you guys. Not one of you guys was phased... and we've talked about all the time. We're gonna need every single body.
"This is just not rhetoric. This is just not talk. Tonight proved that we're gonna need every single person on this roster to help us win a baseball game. Those guys gave everything they had tonight to beat us, and none of us wavered. We continue to fight.
"That's who we are. Be ready to go tomorrow. There's no let-up."
The Dodgers and Blue Jays square off on Tuesday at 5 p.m. PT, with Los Angeles ahead 2-1 with two more consecutive games at Dodger Stadium.
