Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy thinks the 2024 World Series champions have not reached their fullest potential despite dominating in the playoffs thus far.

The Dodgers were a heavy favorite to defend their title entering this season after spending millions on improvements to their already outstanding team.

The regular season showed the team still has flaws — especially in terms of the bullpen and the lower parts of the lineup — but the postseason has been an entirely different story.

The starting rotation is shining, helping to cover up their bullpen's struggles, while hitters like Teoscar Hernandez and Kiké Hernandez are helping to turn over the lineup.

Los Angeles beat the mighty Philadelphia Phillies in just four games, while sweeping the feisty Cincinnati Reds in two games.

Now, they are up 2-0 on the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS, heading back home for a potential sweep — though Muncy still thinks there is another level for the Dodgers to tap into.

"I mean, offensively, there's still some opportunities that we can take advantage of. We haven't fully done that," Muncy said to reporters.

"It's really hard to say the pitching can step up any more than what they've been doing. But I know from our standpoint offensively there are still some moments that we can take advantage of. And so, yeah, I still think there's another gear in there.

"But at the end of the day we're winning games. That's the most important part. Doesn't matter how you do it, you find away to come out with the W, and that's what we've done."

It is pretty terrifying for the rest of MLB if Muncy is right. The Dodgers looked human for most of the season, but their recent play has seen them become firm favorites to win another World Series.

There is still time for the Brewers or an American League team to stop Los Angeles, but if they reach another level, it may be a moot point.
