The Los Angeles Dodgers' injury woes continued on Wednesday, as the team placed right-handed reliever Evan Phillips on the injured list with right forearm discomfort.

Phillips, who began the season on the injured list recovering from a right shoulder injury, is now back on the IL after appearing in just seven games for the Dodgers this year.

Phillips hadn't allowed a run in his 5.2 innings of work. Now, he'll be out for at least the next two weeks.

The Dodgers have been ravaged by injuries this season, especially to their pitching staff.

Two of the team's highest-paid pitchers in Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell, are on the injured list. Shohei Ohtani hasn't returned to pitching yet, and many of the team's best relievers from a year ago in Blake Treinen, Michael Kopech, and now Phillips are on the shelf.

The Dodgers currently lead the league in bullpen innings by far, and are continuing to shuffle through relievers early this season. Manager Dave Roberts called that "not sustainable" for the reigning World Series champions.

"It just seems like certain guys – and I could go back on each starter – but you're still trying to manage their health and ... [be] mindful of the innings that the bullpen is taking on and trying to stagger as much you can, and manage leverage and all that stuff," Roberts said. "Absolutely not, we (don't) want to lead the league in bullpen innings."

Here's an updated look at the Dodgers' pitchers currently on the injured list (or in Ohtani's case, just not pitching):

In addition to the pitching injuries, the Dodgers have two key lineup contributors on the IL in All-Star outfielder Teoscar Hernández and utility man Tommy Edman. Both are on the 10-day IL.

Despite all the injuries, the Dodgers entered Wednesday's game at 24-12 with the best record in MLB.
