Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum seems ready to move past any further discussion about beef, drama, or a behind-the-scenes feud involving his former teammate Jaylen Brown and remain focused on the NBA season.
On Tuesday night, Tatum's Celtics survived an overtime battle with the Brooklyn Nets, emerging with a 125-124 victory. Tatum led the way with 40 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. Fittingly, he also nailed the buzzer-beater in overtime to seal the win and send the home team's fans into a frenzy.
Following the game, Tatum made his stance on further discussion of Brown or any feud narratives extremely clear.

"I said my piece. I’m not making anymore comments on that situation," Tatum told a reporter who tried to get his response to Brown's recent comments.

Brown made recent comments in which he praised Tatum for having a "hell of a PR team," referring to the Celtics star's reply at a postgame press conference about their relationship. He also said there's "no beef" between them, but there "might be a little lamb chops and some gravy."
"He should stay ready at all times," Brown also said, making a cryptic remark that remained open to interpretation.
Aside from the drama, the Celtics have now become one of the Eastern Conference's hottest teams, winning three in a row. Tuesday night's win showed the team's ability to handle a hungry opponent who tested them in overtime.
Tatum's new teammate from the Brown trade to the Philadelphia 76ers, Paul George, finished with 20 points, while Derrick White scored 16 in the overtime win. The Celtics are now 3-1 after losing their season opener against the Detroit Pistons.
The Tatum-Brown feud narrative should add plenty of intrigue to Boston and Philadelphia's upcoming matchups as fans want to see who outduels the other, and which team gets the upper hand in what could renew these teams' storied rivalry.
The first of those games comes on Nov. 10 in Philadelphia. The teams will meet three more times beyond that, giving a real chance for a heated rivalry between two of the Eastern Conference's top contenders this season.
The Boston Celtics host the Chicago Bulls next on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
