The Lakers need Doncic on the floor if they want to be competitive in this game. The team is already without star LeBron James as he recovers from a groin injury that he suffered last week.

Doncic allows this Lakers team to be very lethal on the offensive side of the ball due to his abilities. The guard can control the game very well due to his playmaking and shooting.

Doncic has played in 12 games for the Lakers since coming over from the Dallas Mavericks in a trade. During that time, he averaged 24.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

However, the guard has struggled shooting the ball a little, especially from 3-point land. Doncic is shooting just 32.2 percent from distance since joining the Lakers, a number that is down from his 35.4 percent with the Mavericks.

Doncic is still getting back into the flow of everything after he missed a significant amount of time due to a calf injury. The star is also working to learn the Lakers' offensive system and it's been a slow process overall.

The Lakers enter this game with the Bucks sitting in the No. 4 spot within the Western Conference standings. The team holds a record of 40-23 for the year and they will try to get back on track against Milwaukee.

With the playoffs coming up in a few weeks, every game becomes magnified in terms of playoff positioning. Los Angeles is building toward the postseason and is trying to hold down the fort until James can return to the lineup.
