With Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood benched, speculation has ramped up for where he could be headed for 2027. Ditto for Arch Manning, who faces pressure not to get benched when No. 19 Texas hosts No. 7 Ole Miss on Saturday.
There has been speculation that Oregon State receiver Jesse Legree could transfer to an elite Power 4 program after posting stellar numbers early in his freshman season. Per ESPN's Pete Thamel, the NCAA receiving leader signed a new deal with Oregon State, keeping him with the program for 2027.

"Oregon State star freshman wide receiver Jesse Legree has re-signed with the Beavers and will return to play there in 2027, he tells ESPN," Thamel posted on X. "Legree leads the nation in receiving yards (1,040), touchdown catches (14) and receiving yards per game (148.6)."
Legree said he appreciates the culture that the Beavers are building this season under first-year head coach JaMarcus Shephard.
"I fell in love with the culture out there," Legree said. "We've built a great culture, and it's only going to get bigger from here. This is going to become the start of a national powerhouse."
Legree has been a key part of the Beavers’ turnaround this season after finishing 2-10 in 2025.
Oregon State is 5-2 this season and 3-0 in conference play, putting the program in first place in the Pac-12. The Beavers started the season with losses to Big 12 programs Houston and Texas Tech. Since losing 35-24 to TTU, Oregon State is on a five-game winning streak and has won all of those contests by double digits.
Oregon State is on a bye in Week 8 and will next travel to play 4-3 Fresno State on Halloween.
