If you thought the Lane Kiffin-Ole Miss rivalry could not get any more heated, it just did.
After leaving Oxford on a private jet a month ago, every day has been a new chapter in this ongoing story between the LSU Tigers and Ole Miss Rebels.
Pete Golding led the Rebels to a semifinal finish in the College Football Playoff and was inches away from playing for a national title. All the while, Kiffin was in the background – well, as much as Lane Kiffin can be – hyping up his future exploits in the transfer portal, the love for his former Ole Miss team, and taking subtle jabs at the man who took over.

Ole Miss Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Jordan Sims is leaving Oxford to join the staff at LSU under Nick Savage.
This comes at a time when Rebels fans online are livid with Kiffin, as they theorize that the former head coach has been sabotaging the program by communicating privately with Mississippi players to encourage them to make the jump to Baton Rouge.
We've reached a point where prominent journalists who cover the Rebels are being told by sources that Kiffin is on a mission to take down his old program from the inside.
Kiffin has been openly positive about his time in Oxford and his players, while also taking jabs at Golding when he has the chance. He previously compared the current Ole Miss head coach to a 'stepfather' who was taking credit for all the hard work he put in to create what was possibly the greatest Ole Miss season ever.
Luckily for Kiffin, Golding, and the fans, the two sides will have a chance to work out this feud on the field this upcoming season.
Kiffin will return to Oxford in one of the most highly anticipated scheduled games in college football history, as the LSU Tigers play the Ole Miss Rebels on Sept. 19.
