The Denver Broncos are ensuring that their core team stay together for multiple years. After deals with Courtland Sutton and Zach Allen, the team is awarding star edge rusher Nik Bonitto with a massive $120 million deal.

Bonitto's deal is significant for a few reasons. First, he is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in Broncos history.
Secondly, his $30 million per season catapults him into the top-10 highest-paid at the edge rusher position. Lastly, Bonitto joined the Broncos and was not a starter until the 2023 season.

After working his way up the ladder, Bonitto has now landed a monster deal, which is as good as a story can get in the NFL.

The Broncos made sure to lock Bonitto in, especially after his breakout performance in 2024. The star edge rusher brought in 13.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss, both of which are career highs.
Bonitto's 13.5 sacks also placed him third in the NFL, right below Myles Garrett at 14 sacks and Trey Hendrickson at 17.5 sacks.
Considering Bonitto is a young player, and one that can reach double-digit sacks again, the Broncos made sure to lock him up for the next four seasons.
Bonitto also offered a reaction to the new extension.
His simple caption on the deal reads, "Let's go win this f****** chip now!🙏🙏🔥."
The Broncos have been very smart about keeping their star players around, hence the deals for the aforementioned players. With Sean Payton running the team, expectations are high.
Rookie Bo Nix was named the starter in 2024 and helped to lead the team to a playoff berth. Granted, the Broncos received help from a Miami Dolphins team that imploded, but Denver still did what was needed to succeed.
With a young and dynamic core that has been locked up for multiple years, the Broncos could be the dark horse playoff team that shocks the NFL in 2025 and beyond.
