The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 5-1 and are looking to be one of the most dangerous teams in the NFC. Oddly enough, they are managing truly competitive play without multiple stars. Now, the team has received a major availability update on Mike Evans for Monday night's game.

According to top NFL insider Adam Schefter, Evans practiced but appears to be a game-time decision.

"And Mike Evans, who practiced today, also is considered a pre-game decision, though it sounds like there is more hope for him than Emeka Egbuka," Schefter wrote.

Evans sounds like he is trending towards playing, which would be fantastic for the Buccaneers' offense and Baker Mayfield. The team already ruled out Chris Godwin, and if Emeka Egbuka misses the game, the team will be down multiple pass catchers.

Star running back Bucky Irving is also out, leaving Tampa Bay with little to work with on offense. This is especially tough as the team is facing the Lions.

The Lions are 4-2 and should be a big competitor in the NFC playoff race. The Buccaneers have been on a streak, but that could end with so many offensive players out.

If Evans and Egbuka are out, the Buccaneers offense would rely on Rachaad White, Sterling Shepard, Tez Johnson, Ryan Miller, and Kameron Johnson.

Shepard has become a reliable pass-catching weapon, picking up 242 yards and one touchdown thus far this season. He is second on the team in receiving yards, with Egbuka leading the way with 469 yards and five touchdowns.
