The Cleveland Browns have embarked on a search for a new head coach after deciding to part ways with Kevin Stefanski following the conclusion of the 2025 NFL season.

Stefanski has been the team's head coach since the 2020 season. During that time, he compiled a 45-56 record. In addition, he led the Browns to the playoffs twice in six years.

Obviously, that wasn't enough to get the job done in Cleveland. As the team moves into the coaching search, John Harbaugh has been a name that has come up. After being let go by the Baltimore Ravens, the Browns would likely love to bring him in as their replacement for Stefanski.

With that being said, one Cleveland insider has revealed what it would take for the Browns to hire Harbaugh.

According to Tony Grossi of ESPN Radio, it would take around $20 million per year, a $10 million staff budget, total authority over the roster, and he would also like to select his own general manager. That is a lot to ask from any franchise.

During his time as the head coach of the Ravens from the 2008 season through 2025, Harbaugh led the franchise to a 180-113 record. He also won a Super Bowl for Baltimore back in the 2012 season.

Among the other potential landing spots for Harbaugh this offseason are the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, and Tennessee Titans. If Cleveland is truly interested in hiring Harbaugh, the front office will need to get aggressive quickly.

There are also some other teams who could make coaching changes following the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Both the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers could be potential Harbaugh destinations should they choose to move on from their respective head coaches.

No one would have expected Harbaugh to come cheap. Giving up the kind of demands that Harbaugh wants would be a difficult decision for any franchise.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the Browns decided to get aggressive in their pursuit of Harbaugh. He could be the right man to get the franchise back on track after years of mediocrity.
