The Miami Dolphins are activating wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the PUP list for this weekend. He is expected to take the field against the New England Patriots in Week 5.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported the news on social media. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel opened up about Beckham Jr. returning.
"On a team that is very motivated to win a football game, I think he's eager to try to help do that."

Miami has been in a downward spiral since starting quarterback Tua Tagavolia suffered a concussion in Week 2. The offense has looked pretty inconsistent without their starter so the return of Beckham Jr. should make somewhat of a difference.
If anything, he will give the Dolphins another offensive weapon to work with. Miami already had star wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle but the offense has still struggled.
Miami turned to veteran quarterback Tyler "Snoop" Huntley last week but things didn't get any better. Huntley threw for just 96 yards in his Dolphins debut but did grab 40 rushing yards and one score.

Putting Beckham Jr. around the other playmakers for Miami could allow Huntley more freedom. Beckham Jr. opened up about why it's taken so long for him to step onto the field with the Dolphins.
"There was a lot going on in my life, personal life, businesses, all of that, that just kind of had me in a place where football wasn't exactly the priority," Beckham said Thursday. "I have a son, he's two years old and I didn't get much time to spend with him. I feel like he's growing up fast and I'm not having that much time, so football exactly wasn't the first and foremost thing on my mind."
The wideout will be looking to help the Dolphins get back on track. But he isn;t feeling any pressure.
"I think at this point in my life, pressure is why I got into this game. It was never for the attention," Beckham said. "There's something about knowing that it's time to perform and then showing up and performing, truly. ... We got to get going. We got to start making plays. Defense has been playing great. Offense, it's our time. Like we got to take over. There's a reason I came to this offense. It's because I've seen what they did all last year.
When we last saw Beckham Jr, he was playing with the Baltimore Ravens last season. The veteran racked up 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns on the year.
He is seen as one of the better wide receivers over the last decade but injuries have derailed his career. Beckham Jr. is a two-time Pro Bowler and he won the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
