NFL trade rumors and news are heating up this offseason as teams look to build for the future, or, in the Philadelphia Eagles' case, improve their chances of contending for another Super Bowl.
That could include adding one of the league's elite stars on defense: Maxx Crosby. The Las Vegas Raiders superstar is considered one of the top few players in the league in terms of edge rushers, and multiple teams are vying to add his skills and presence to the roster.
Most recently, that's included the Eagles, one of three teams mentioned in speculation about Crosby. A previous report from insiders suggested that Philly, along with the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots, was keeping a close watch on Crosby's availability.

Several significant trades have already occurred this week from NFC contenders, including the Detroit Lions trading David Montgomery to the Houston Texans, and more recently, the Chicago Bears trading DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills. Most likely, that means Crosby will be one of the next big-name players to be involved in a trade.
Soon after the Moore trade news broke on Thursday, the Eagles' right tackle, Lane Johnson, shared a cryptic message on X (formerly Twitter) featuring the eyes-looking emoji, with a tag directly for Crosby.
As one can imagine, that caused fans to react in the comments to Johnson's seemingly cryptic post about a potential trade.
"What does this mean? ah cmon Lane don’t mess around lol," one commenter wrote, with multiple commenters echoing those sentiments.
Others said, "Thats right G. Give em that Philly tour," and "Crosby and Carter would be so unfair, make it happen @Eagles."
Some suggested that the Eagles needed to address other issues or that Johnson was only posting to gain attention on social media.
"He doesn’t wanna play with another trash a** qb at the helm," a commenter said, referring to Jalen Hurts.
"This dork says this every year about a big name that’s available. Just farming for attention lmao," another commenter suggested.
Philadelphia ended its NFL season on a disappointing note, reaching the Wild Card Round only to be bounced early by the San Francisco 49ers. Adding Crosby could make their defense elite and put them back in the conversation as a threat for the Super Bowl.
However, as some commenters mentioned, the team may have bigger issues to address, including whether to trade or keep AJ Brown as a receiver, and if Hurts is really the quarterback they need for future Super Bowl appearances.
