The Green Bay Packers have pulled off one of the biggest NFL trades in history, landing former Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons. The trade sent shockwaves through the NFL, and Parsons has officially spoken to reporters and picked his jersey number.

All that is left is to make his Packers regular season debut. However, before that can happen, the perennial pass rusher has officially made his debut at practice.

In a video captured by Kyle Malzhan and shared by NFL insider Ari Meirov, Parsons is currently on the field with the Packers. In the video, the All-Pro defender is showing off some drills while wearing his brand-new No. 1 jersey.

Parsons had a lot to say during his introductory press conference, offering words of thanks to his former team and fanbase, while also stating that he has arrived in Green Bay to get to work.

There is no guarantee that Parsons will take the field in Week 1, simply because he has just arrived and must get used to the playbook that the Packers have. Also, he was dealing with a back issue that led to some missed games and practice.

Should Parsons get the practice in that he needs, he will presumably take the field when the Packers face off against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, September 8. Green Bay will need all the help it can get to stop the Lions' strong offense.

Parsons would be instrumental in rushing Jared Goff, while throwing him off his ability to dish the ball to Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, and the rest of the stars on the Lions offense.

Should Parsons need another week to get acclimated to the Packers' playbook, he would then suit up against the Washington Commanders in Week 2. The star defender touched on the schedule during his press conference, deflecting the question about facing his former team in Week 4.

Instead of worrying about his "revenge game" against the Cowboys, Parsons understands the level of talent he will face off against as a member of the Packers.

Either way, Parsons' arrival is huge for the Packers, and what he can do on the defense will have a massive impact on the team's 2025 outlook.
