After a thrilling overtime win against the Chicago Bears, the Los Angeles Rams are looking to continue their playoff push to the Super Bowl.

However, they'll need to defeat their division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, who are also the No. 1 seed, in Sunday's NFC Championship Game. The game features one of the top-ranked scoring offenses against one of the top-ranked scoring defenses, sure to be an intense matchup.

Should Matthew Stafford and the Rams win, they'll be back with another opportunity to win the Super Bowl. They'll be playing on the road, facing a lot of rowdy Seahawks fans at Seattle's Lumen Field, but, according to recent news, the Rams will have one of their all-time greats serving as their honorary captain.

On Saturday, the team announced that superstar Aaron Donald is the team's honorary captain, and rightfully so. On their official X account (formerly Twitter), they shared a photo of Donald smiling, wearing sunglasses and a jacket.

"Got the G.O.A.T in attendance," the Los Angeles Rams wrote as they shared their X post.

Donald, a defensive tackle, played 10 years as a member of the Rams and was part of the team's Super Bowl LVI win in 2021.

Donald retired at 32 from the NFL in 2024 after 10 seasons, all of which were part of the Rams organization. He racked up 543 combined tackles, 111 sacks, and 21 passes defended in the 154 games he played.

While the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year won't be suiting up to try to take down Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold, Donald could still bring his team some sideline support and inspiration.

The Rams’ playoff run included their epic overtime win against the Bears at Soldier Field in the NFC Divisional Round. A huge interception by the Rams’ safety Kam Curl led to his team getting into field goal range and winning, 20-17.

The Seahawks ranked No. 10 among NFL teams when it came to passing defense, allowing just 193.9 yards per game to opponents. They also allowed just 17.2 points per game to opponents, putting them atop the defensive stats category.

The Seahawks boast an impressive defense, but so far in the playoffs, the Rams feature Curl, leading all players with 23 tackles, and cornerback Cobie Durant, leading all players with 3 interceptions. However, they've also played one more game than Seattle.

Sunday's NFC showdown with Donald on hand could be entertaining, as the previous time the two teams met in the regular season, the Seahawks won 38-37 in overtime.
