Justin Herbert's fiancée, singer Madison Beer, remains a target of criticism over the struggling Los Angeles Chargers, who are currently the only winless team in the NFL this season.
The team fell to the Kansas City Chiefs, 22-6, earlier this month, with Herbert unable to find anyone in the end zone and his teammates unable to get their run game going. Herbert finished that matchup with 204 passing yards and one interception, as the Chargers continue struggling offensively.
That loss gave the team an unenviable 0-6 start to their season. After the Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets this past weekend, the Chargers officially became the league's only winless team.

During the Chargers' bye week, Beer, who became engaged to Herbert during the offseason, performed at Disneyland and encountered a heckler who jokingly called on her to help turn the team's season around.
"Fix the Chargers!" a man off-camera yelled, with Beer hearing the remark from the stage, then shaking her head while continuing to smile.

She then raised both arms and hands in the air as if to suggest she didn't know how she could fix the struggling NFL team. Her reaction generated laughs from the crowd, and the clip has since circulated online.
"Chargers need more than one Beer. My account needs the whole case," one commenter wrote, reacting to Barstool Sports sharing the clip.
"She thought it was funny sitting in the middle field after practice touching his face and hair. Harbaugh should have never allowed her at camp. No worries, we will be drafting a new qb next year, no more of you," a frustrated fan commented.
Others commented, "Her boyfriend is the worst QB in the NFL. Can’t fix that," and "So we’re just expecting her to whip up a miracle?"
According to Billboard, Beer began dating Herbert in July 2025. The Chargers went 11-6 in the ensuing season, finishing second in the division behind the Denver Broncos, and qualified for the postseason.
Herbert finished that season with 3,727 passing yards and 26 touchdown passes. He ranked among the top 10 in passing yards and in the top 15 in passer rating, finishing with a 94.1 rating.
However, things changed this offseason, including the team bringing in former Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel as the new offensive coordinator. In addition, Herbert proposed to Beer, and many have tried to connect that occurrence to the quarterback's woeful start.
So far this season, Herbert has thrown for 1,141 yards and five touchdowns with eight interceptions. He has a 29.3 QBR and a passer rating of 68.8, both of which are trending toward career lows if things continue this way.
Whether fans want to blame Herbert for being lovestruck with Beer and preparing for marriage, the team's new offensive coordinator, or the Chargers not playing well, one thing is clear: the team desperately needs to figure out how to turn things around, and that's not something Beer can solve.
Things won't get easier anytime soon, as Herbert and the Chargers will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Nov. 1. The Rams are looking to build momentum after picking up a much-needed 35-21 win over the Las Vegas Raiders this past Sunday.
