Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes might not be a participant in the NFL Playoffs, but that doesn't mean he's not a fan and watching the games unfold from afar.
That included a "Sunday Night Football" showdown in the NFC Divisional Round between the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Rams, which featured yet another improbable, downright amazing highlight play from Caleb Williams.
Most of the game featured a low-scoring defensive battle and chess match between head coaches Sean McVay and Ben Johnson. However, the late stages of the game provided some exhilarating playoff football to end a weekend of AFC and NFC Divisional games.

With the Rams ahead 17-10 late in the fourth quarter, it was Chicago's ball. The Rams' defense continued to pressure the Bears, keeping them out of the end zone, until the Bears' quarterback got creative and threw a miraculous touchdown pass.

With under 30 seconds to go and being chased by Rams defenders on a fourth down, Williams threw a Hail Mary-style heave.
While it looked like the play was dead on arrival because Caleb was off-balance and chased around, his throw found the corner of the end zone, where tight end Cole Kmet caught a touchdown pass, which ultimately sent the game to overtime.
NBC's Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth were on the call and also couldn't believe the throw by Williams that found Kmet to send the game to OT.
It created a huge highlight clip, likely to circulate for days, months, and years to come, as it's among the best playoff touchdown throws in recent memory.
That play sent the game into overtime, giving the Bears a huge opportunity to pull off the major upset over the visiting Rams. It also brought a roar from the Chicago fans at Soldier Field, who witnessed one of the most impressive plays in the NFL Playoffs so far.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes was watching from afar and couldn't help but marvel at seeing that miraculous Caleb Williams pass for a touchdown in the game's fourth quarter.
The Chiefs quarterback included multiple crying-laughing emojis, also issued a one-word response to the play on his X account, calling it "awesome!"
Mahomes clearly recognizes how incredible and extraordinary a player Caleb Williams is. Despite the disappointing loss to the Rams, which cost them a shot at the NFC Championship Game, he and the Bears defied expectations throughout this season.
Many people have compared Williams to Mahomes for making big plays when his team needs him to lead late-game wins or comebacks. That was apparent in tonight's game, once again, much like it was against the Green Bay Packers and other teams this past season.
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking forward to having their QB1 back in time to start next season, as Mahomes, currently recovering after his season-ending injury and surgery, is expected to be back in time for Week 1 of the NFL season.
Much like Mahomes, Williams seems destined for more wins and greatness in his career, as this is only his second season as a member of the Chicago Bears.
