Cooper Kupp

...

Kupp last played in Week 2 of the 2024 season against the Arizona Cardinals. He sprained his left ankle in the second quarter of that contest.

From the start, we knew that Kupps' injury was not season-ending, but regardless, it's nice to see that he is back on the field, ramping up for a comeback. Kupp was coming off a spectacular season opener against the Detroit Lions, and the hope was that he is finally back after a handful of seasons riddled with injuries.

If all goes well this week, we could see Kupp back sooner rather than later and would have avoided a trip to the injured reserve in the process. Although the Kupp news is excellent, Klein also shared a not-so-great update on fellow All-Pro wide receiver Puka Nacua.

Head coach Sean McVay said that Nacua would not practice this week, meaning that he will most likely not be available for Sunday's contest against the Raiders. Nacua only played in the first half of the season opener against the Lions before he reaggravated his knee injury from training camp.

Nacua was coming into his second NFL season as one of the darlings from last year. It was supposed to be a prove-it year for the 23-year-old, and although he can most certainly still prove himself, it may be too little, too late.

Through six weeks of the season, the Rams have a 1-4 record and are last in the NFC West. Although they are only down 2.5 games from the division leader, the San Francisco 49ers, the Rams have a bunch of injuries they may not be able to overcome.

The Rams have yet to have Nacua and Kupp at their best throughout these two seasons they have been together. Nacua was at his best last year, but Kupp was still laboring from injuries, although he played in 12 games.

Kupp was at his best for a game and a half this season, but Nacua was only around for 15 minutes. Health-wise, it's been a struggle for these two, and the hope is they are both out here together for Matthew Stafford and the offense soon enough.
