Nacua suffered a knee injury during training camp, which was revealed to be a burst bursa sack in his knee. Nacua would miss a good amount of training camp due to the bursa sack, and would eventually return on Aug. 26.
Nacua was healthy enough to make his regular-season debut on Sep. 8. However, he would exit the game early due to another knee injury. It was revealed that he suffered a PCL sprain. That sprain kept Nacua out for five total games, and he finally returned to action during Week 8.
Nacua was surprisingly made available and exploded in the game to the tune of seven receptions for 106 yards. Though the hope was that he would be fully healthy for the rest of the season, it appears the same knee that he injured is not fully healed.
According to Rodrigue, Nacua was set for a weekly press conference but had to skip it due to the knee injury he suffered in practice. Rams head coach Sean McVay will not be speaking to the media until Saturday, and the seriousness of the injury to Nacua will be detailed then.
Should Nacua be dealing with a reaggravation to the knee that keeps him limited tomorrow, it would be believed that he would be pulled for Week 9. Any nagging injury can be tricky, but it appears that the second-year star receiver needs more time to heal.
The Rams had also been fielding trade calls for Cooper Kupp before it was revealed Nacua was healthy enough to return. Kupp also returned to proper form in Week 8, securing five receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown.

Kupp had been out since Week 2, when he suffered a a high ankle sprain. Should Nacua have to miss more time due to his knee, the Rams might not consider trading Kupp after all.
After the Week 8 win, McVay stated that he expected Kupp to remain on the team. Again, if the injury to Nacua appears to be severe, the Rams will need Kupp to remain in the lineup.
