The Pittsburgh Steelers might be interested in acquiring a wide receiver in a trade ahead of the NFL deadline on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

The team's top receiver, DK Metcalf, isn't producing like they'd hoped so far this season. Through eight games, Metcalf has caught 33 of 65 passes thrown to him for 378 yards and one touchdown.

The biggest issue for the Steelers' receiver room, though, is injuries. Three receivers sit on the injured reserve list: Michael Pittman Jr., Roman Wilson and Cole Burgess. Ben Skowronek is also out with a calf strain right now. That leaves Metcalf and standout rookie Germie Bernard as the top receivers on the team right now. The Steelers have also utilized top running back Jaylen Warren as a receiver this season as he has posted the second most receiving yards (294).

Understandably, the Steelers are now reportedly interested in getting a new wide receiver for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and one name that's popped up this week is New York Jets star Garrett Wilson, NFL insider Jason La Canfora floated the idea on Monday.

Pittsburgh Steelers, Aaron Rodgers

...

Last week, Wilson told reporters that he doesn't want to request a trade from the Jets, but that he's aware of how the NFL's business runs. He will definitely be an expensive get for whichever team decides to make an offer.

Wilson, who was the 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, is in his fifth season in New York. He's shined with the Jets, but the team has still failed to make the playoffs dating back to the 2010 season. He might want to join a team that has postseason potential. And, he would likely be a long-term solution for the Steelers' offensive goals.

The receiver has experience playing with Rodgers when he was on the Jets in 2024 (he played one snap in '23). Wilson put up his best stats with Rodgers in '24 as he caught 101 passes for 1,104 yards and seven touchdowns that season. Maybe the partnership needs to reunite in Pittsburgh.
