The Houston Texans notched a 30-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in a wild card round matchup on Monday night.

While the final score indicated a dominant win for head coach DeMeco Ryans and his No. 5 seed Texans, much of the game at Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium was closely contested.

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Texans held a narrow 7-6 lead over the Steelers in a defensive slugfest.

After a field goal from kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn, the Texans' fourth-quarter scoring onslaught continued with a scoop-and-score touchdown from defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins. With just over three minutes remaining in the game, rookie running back Woody Marks punched in another score to essentially secure the playoff victory.

After this touchdown, the ESPN cameras cut to Ryans on the sideline.

"Wear 'em out," he said.

This message and mentality is drawing attention on social media.

"Watch exactly what Demeco Ryans says here.. this is why the Texans will be great for a LONG TIME!" Emmanuel Acho wrote on X.

The Texans wore Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers offense down with their elite defensive unit on Monday night. In what could've been his final NFL game, the veteran Pittsburgh quarterback completed 17 of his 33 pass attempts for just 146 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

The Houston defense dominated on third down, allowing the Steelers to convert just two of their 14 third-down attempts.

The Texans notched their victory despite a disappointing performance from quarterback CJ Stroud, who fumbled the ball twice and threw an interception. He finished the game with 250 yards and one touchdown on 21/32 passing.
