Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins has been cleared to play this Sunday and will face off against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11. Despite a worrying hamstring injury, it appears that the star player will be able to lend his team a huge boost in tomorrow's game.

It has been touch and go for Nico Collins since Week 5, when he sustained a hamstring injury during the Texans' victory over the Buffalo Bills and was placed on injury reserve.
Although there was some consideration for his return last week, Collins wasn't able to ramp up quickly enough to play in the Texans' Week 10 loss to the Lions, forcing him to wait another week for a chance to get back on the field.
Collins participated as a limited practice participant on Wednesday but was upgraded to full participation for the final two sessions ahead of this week's prime-time matchup.

Before the injury, Collins had recorded 567 receiving yards—the most in the NFL at the time—and three touchdowns. He returns just in time to help the team snap a two-game losing streak.
After an impressive career at the University of Michigan, he was selected by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. In 2023, he enjoyed a breakout season, establishing himself as a key playmaker for the team.
His standout performance came in Week 4, when he set a career high with seven receptions, 168 yards, and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and make big plays.
However, he continued to elevate his game as the season progressed. In Week 13, against the Denver Broncos, he exceeded his previous best with a dominant performance, hauling in nine catches for 191 yards and a touchdown. His efforts were crucial in the Texans' 22-17 victory, further solidifying his growing reputation as one of the league's emerging wide receivers.

Yesterday, Collins indicated that he was prepared to play Sunday, but now it has been confirmed by the official injury report.
"Yeah, I'm playing this week," Collins told ESPN. "Just going out there, being with my brothers. There's no better feeling than that. Just happy to be feeling good and happy to be able to have the opportunity to play this week and just continue to pick back up where I left off."
Texans coach DeMeco was just as enthused about Collins' return.
"Getting Nico back is always very great for all of us," Ryans said. "Nico's been one of our best players when he was healthy, so it's great to have him back, great to have his presence and the energy that he brings and also the playmaking ability that he brings. Happy to have him back and really proud of him for the work he's put in to get himself back."
